June 16th

  • Everything will be reset some time on Sunday and the site will go live on Monday.
  • There were numerous daily fee charges today to populate the race cards for the next week.  This was not a bug, it was planned and it does not matter if you go broke at this point.

June 8th

  • The problem with stakes race selections has been fixed.  Due to an extremely stupid typo in the code it was ranking horses in the reverse order of what they should have been.
  • We have implemented a dynamic gestation periodCLICK HERE for more details.

May 30th

  • You can no longer enter male horses in female restricted races
  • The problem with purse size calculations has been fixed.

May 28th

  • I'm going to evaluate everything on Monday when I can see what we get done with this weekend but it's likely I'll put off the start of the site a few days/weeks.
  • Reading some e-mail, it's become apparent that an open beta wasn't the best idea.  Some users are getting upset that things aren't working the way they want them to.  If you do not understand the purpose of the testing period, please just stop using the site until we go live.  You will only get frustrated and waste your time.
  • The stakes race entries are not based on lifetime earnings, they are based on current ranking.
  • Five daily fees were taken out on the 28th because none were taken out after the 23rd.
  • The race nomination form now shows which horses are eligible for a race based on the day of the race, not the current date.
  • Multiple work outs now 'stick'.
  • Work outs are now deleted from a horse's record two weeks after the date of the work out.

May 22nd

  • The duplicate charges for horses on the 22nd were planned.  They are necessary to fund the purses for future races.

May 21st

  • The races since the 13th now have speed figures.  You cannot compare these speed figures to the speed figures from races before that date.
  • The maiden races since the 13th that had fewer and fewer entries and and lost the winner from the results were doing that because we did not finalize the results and the winners didn't quality as a maiden the next time the race was run.  This was strictly a testing issue that will not happen once we start finalizing races again.

May 17th

  • We have added incremental race positions to the results.
  • Results are coming in as of the time this was posted for races up until this date.  These results are using a revamped racing engine and will likely change quite a bit over the next day.  The new algorithm spreads the horses out but appears to have too many blow out winners ahead of tight packs.
  • No payouts, bets, or claims will be processed until we are comfortable with the new racing algorithm.

May 16th

  • If there are more than 11 owners with entries in a specific race, a maximum of one entry is selected from each owner.  This does not apply to stakes races.
  • If there are less than 12 owners with entries in a specific race, all owners are guaranteed at least one entry before other owners are considered for multiple entries.  This does not apply to stakes races.
  • The race selection process is not fool proof yet (specifically the user entry limits) and will be worked on again with the races on Tuesday.
  • Users now receive notifications when a horse doesn't make the field of a race.
  • The purses for cancelled races are now distributed across all other races for the same breed instead of just the track they were supposed to run at.
  • Horse rankings now go all the way to #5,000.

May 13th

  • There will not be any more race results until Monday.

May 11th

  • The condition books have all been reset.
  • Tracks now get races based on their class.  In other words Kentucky gets the best races, Arkansas doesn't get as good races, etc.
  • Claiming race purses are now generally higher than maiden race purses in order to encourage entries in the claiming races.
  • Races are now created based on the amount of horses active in stables.  If there are more two year old fillies, there will be more two year old filly races.

May 9th

  • The starter horse selection has been reset for everyone.  You can now get one more set for the rest of the beta.
  • The ability to select multiple sets of starter horses (the loophole that most of the top beta stables used to get to the top) has been halted.  This doesn't apply to the above statement regarding getting one more set for the beta.

  • We have added significant amounts of information to the stallion information pages.  To find those pages, just click any sire name in the pedigree of your horses.

April 28th

  • You can now breed to studs that do not require approval and to studs in your own pasture.
  • Now that all of the basic aspects of the site have been setup, we have set June 1st as the day for the site to go live.  Until then we will be adding usability to the current setup, new features, more detail, and generally polishing the site off.
